EU opens inquiry into Elon Musk’s X over sexualised images by Grok AI

The European Union is launching an investigation into Elon Musk’s social media platform X and its AI chatbot feature Grok.
The formal inquiry will focus on the production of sexually explicit images on the platform and aims to determine if X has systems to mitigate the risks related to the creation of harmful content.
According to the Center for Countering Digital Hate, Grok AI generated more than three million sexualised images in less than two weeks.
More than 20,000 of those appeared to depict children.
