Plane crash near Gold Coast leaves two with life-threatening injuries

Two people are being treated for life-threatening injuries after a light plane crashed into bushland near an airfield north of the Gold Coast.
The incident occurred around 6 pm local time, causing a large grass fire that fire crews are working to control.
The crash victims were transported to the hospital, and authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
