Europe should ‘keep on dreaming’ if it thinks it can defend itself without US: NATO Chief

NATO’s chief has warned Europe it is incapable of defending itself without the US, just days after United States President Donald Trump finally ruled out using force to seize Greenland.
Briefing EU leaders, Mark Rutte has insisted that President Trump remains loyal to the military alliance.
“If anyone thinks that the European Union … can defend itself without the US, keep on dreaming,” Mr Rutte said.
