NT schools to mandate national anthem to foster ‘national pride’

NT Education Minister Jo Hersey says the Australian national anthem being mandated in the Northern Territory is a way of bringing “national pride” to school communities.
“We know that there’s been a resurgence in people getting behind Australia Day again,” Ms Hersey told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“This is just another part of the education, you know, as the Education Minister in making sure that we have a consistent approach across the territory in schools with the national anthem.”
