‘Higher than we would like’: Treasurer speaks about jump in inflation

Treasurer Jim Chalmers has spoken to Sky News Australia about the higher-than-expected inflation rate, which is likely to trigger a rate rise from the RBA.
New data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics revealed inflation surged to 3.8 per cent in the year to December.
The treasurer noted the inflation number was “higher than we would like”.
