Chuck Schumer rolls out unhinged ICE demands to avert devastating government shutdown

Senate Democrats have unveiled a list of demands to rein in ICE operations in exchange for their votes to avert a shutdown.
Democrats had declined a meeting with the White House to discuss government funding options.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer laid out three requirements for the government to remain funded.
These requirements include ending roving patrols, a uniform code of conduct, as well as a “masks off, body cameras on” policy.
Schumer blamed Senate Majority Leader John Thune if a funding deal were to fail and the government shut down.
The Senate Minority Leader said Democrats will not vote for Homeland Security funding as part of the spending bill.
