Hundreds protest in Ottawa to support people of Iran

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in Ottawa to show solidarity with people protesting in Iran against the country’s government and ongoing crackdown. Protesters rallied in subzero temperatures at Parliament Hill and downtown, carrying signs and chanting slogans calling for freedom, democracy and international support. The rallies echo similar events in Toronto and Vancouver as Iranian-Canadians and allies urge global attention to human rights abuses and demand stronger action from Canada and the world.
