As SpaceX officially joins the prestigious Nasdaq-100 Index, Wall Street finds itself divided over the aerospace giant’s true market valuation. While institutional investors and index-tracking funds are preparing for automatic portfolio adjustments, equity analysts are actively debating whether to buy, hold, or sell the stock.
On one side of the market analysis, several bullish traders and wealth management firms are issuing strong “buy” recommendations, wagering on Elon Musk’s long-term commercial space dominance and satellite internet expansion.
However, not everyone shares this optimistic financial outlook. Speaking on “Bloomberg Surveillance,” Nicholas Owens, an equity analyst at Morningstar, has issued a conservative “sell” rating on the stock. Owens established a strict price target of $62, emphasizing that the current shares are heavily overvalued compared to fundamental financial metrics. Investors are now closely monitoring these contrasting trading strategies to determine how the stock will perform within the tech-dominated index.
