Nintendo announced that Fire Emblem Shadows will be available for download on mobile devices (Android and iOS) starting September 25, 2025. This innovative game brings social deduction mechanics integrated into traditional tactical combat, promising to combine strategy and player interaction.

At the start of each match, players choose between playing as a disciple of light or a disciple of shadow. After a round of combat, a vote is held to determine who the hidden traitor is; the outcome of this vote influences the difficulty of the next encounter. Battles blend real-time strategy elements with tactical positioning, and the game supports multiple languages, as well as Japanese and English voiceovers. The game is free-to-play with optional in-app purchases.

Developed by Nintendo in partnership with Intelligent Systems Co., Ltd. and DeNA Co., Ltd., the game aims to bring innovation to the genre, blending cooperation, suspicion, and strategy in a way that’s different from the traditional tactical RPG of the main series. Shadows is expected to appeal to both casual players interested in social dynamics and fans of classic RPGs.
