The body of 13-year-old Geovana da Costa Martins dos Santos, who had been missing in Jacareí, Brazil since May 20, 2022, was found buried at the back of the house where she lived, this Friday afternoon (10).
Her father confessed to killing the girl, claiming to be drugged. Police are investigating whether he sexually abused the girl.
The DIG (Delegation of General Investigations) opened the investigation into the case. According to the State Department of Public Security, the girl disappeared on Rua Henrique Pereira Júnior, in the Jardim Conquista neighborhood, in the Parque Meia Lua region, in Jacareí.
The incident report was opened on duty at the Jacareí Sectional Police Station and the case continues to be investigated by the Civil Police and the city’s DIG.
