Julia Wandel, a 23-year-old Polish woman who claimed to be Madeleine McCann, was arrested at Bristol Airport on charges of stalking the family of the missing child.

On Wednesday, Julia Wandel, a 23-year-old Polish woman who claimed to be Madeleine McCann, was arrested at Bristol Airport on charges of stalking the family of the missing child. She allegedly showed up at the McCanns’ home and sent letters, phone calls, voicemails and WhatsApp messages, Leicestershire Police said.

Julia Wandel is also accused of stalking Madeleine’s sister Amelie and her brother Sean. She appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Friday and was remanded in custody.

Madeleine’s disappearance has become one of the world’s most mysterious missing child cases. Madeleine vanished in the Algarve, Portugal, in 2007 while on holiday with her family.
