Man arrested for killing, dismembering, and cooking friend’s body that he stored in the refrigerator.

Police from Cidade Nova and the Capital Homicide Division arrested Bruno Guimarães da Cunha Chagas on Wednesday (16) for aggravated homicide and concealment of a corpse. He killed, dismembered, and hid the body of Thiago Lourenço Morgado in a refrigerator.

Thiago’s body was found inside a refrigerator in a residence in Morro de São Carlos, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, by police. Bruno admitted that, in an attempt to conceal the body, he cooked parts of the body and blended them in a blender. According to him, the goal was to flush the body down the toilet and make it more difficult to identify the crime.

Thiago and Bruno lived and worked together in a bakery. According to investigators, Bruno stabbed the victim after an argument between the two on Sunday (13). After the murder, he dismembered Thiago and hid his remains in the residence’s refrigerator. An autopsy was performed at the scene, and the body was sent to the Forensic Institute.
