Allan dos Santos, considered a fugitive from Brazilian justice, was present at President Jair Bolsonaro’s motorcycle ride with supporters in Orlando, United States, this Saturday (11).
He did a live broadcast on social media with supporters of the president, before Jair Bolsonaro arrived at the scene. For just over six minutes, he took photos and recorded videos with bolsonaristas, meeting since early in the morning.
Allan dos Santos is investigated in two investigations by the Federal Supreme Court (STF), one that investigates threats to court ministers and the dissemination of false content on the internet. The other investigates the financing of undemocratic acts.
In October of last year, Minister Alexandre de Moraes ordered his preventive detention and that the Ministry of Justice initiate his extradition. Upon becoming the target of operations, Allan dos Santos left Brazil and reportedly entered the United States in July on a tourist visa that had expired since February.
Jair Bolsonaro went to the United States for the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles and for his first meeting with US President Joe Biden. Then he went to Orlando, where around 180,000 Brazilians live, to inaugurate, this Saturday, a Brazilian vice consulate.
The date coincides with the holding of the First Brazilian Conservative Congress in Florida. Allan dos Santos is one of the speakers at the event, which will also feature the participation of Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) and deputy Daniel Silveira (PTB-RJ), who should speak remotely. On April 20, Silveira was sentenced by the STF to 8 years and 9 months in prison in a closed regime for anti-democratic attacks on ministers, the court and democracy. Today, he is monitored by an electronic anklet.
