The president noted that the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA) ostensibly bars illegal immigrants from obtaining most taxpayer-funded benefits.
Donald Trump alleged that the Biden administration has undermined the goals of that law, resulting in the wasteful spending of significant taxpayer resources, fueling illegal immigration into the United States.
