Israeli attacks leave at least 20 dead in Gaza

December 15, 1979 San Diego police chief Bill Kolender found himself in a different sort of uniform today, when he played Santa Claus. He handed out gifts to the 160 guests of honor, brought together through the efforts of three downtown social service agencies. The gifts were handed out in the Gaslamp District at the Victoria House on E Street.
