Israeli attacks leave at least 20 dead in Gaza

Taiwan President William Lai was briefed on an investigation into a knife attack in central Taipei by a 27-year-old man. It resulting in three deaths and 11 injuries on Friday (Dec 19). The suspect, who jumped to his death during an attempted arrest and had a criminal history, had planned the attack using legally purchased smoke bombs. Authorities say there is evidence it was a premeditated attack and are tightening security measures while investigating the motive and the suspect’s background.
