A mass shooting at the Chanukah By the Sea event at Bondi Beach killed multiple victims, including community leaders, grandparents, and police officers who showed extraordinary bravery in protecting others. Families are now sharing heartbreaking stories of loved ones who died shielding others from gunfire, including Tibor who saved his wife, and probationary constable Jack Hibbert who helped evacuate civilians despite being shot. The victims included Holocaust survivors, dedicated community volunteers, rabbis, and everyday Australians who became heroes in their final moments.
