Israeli attacks leave at least 20 dead in Gaza

More than a dozen people have been killed, after flash floods triggered by torrential rain hit Indonesia’s island of Siau in North Sulawesi, sweeping away homes and trees. Extreme weather conditions have also hampered search and rescue efforts, as heavy rains could trigger further flooding and landslides. Local authorities have declared a hydrometeorological disaster emergency for 14 days. The wet season late last year in Sumatra saw cyclone-induced floods and landslides that killed more than 1,000 people. Chandni Vatvani reports from Jakarta.
