The Systemic Failure of Privacy Protection
The exposure of these files highlights a critical flaw in how high-stakes legal proceedings handle the anonymity of sensitive witnesses and victims of sexual abuse. While transparency is vital for public trust, the accidental leak or unsealing of names without adequate protection leaves survivors highly vulnerable to bad actors.
