Former ASIO boss Dennis Richardson will lead a review into Australia’s federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies in response to the Bondi attack.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced the review will be based in his department, and will be made public when it’s finalised in April.

The report will analyse whether federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies have the right powers, structures and processes.

Federal opposition MPs are leading calls for a national royal commission, but the government has deflected the need for such an investigation.
