Israeli attacks leave at least 20 dead in Gaza

A 12-year-old girl remains in critical condition at Perth Children’s Hospital after being caught in a rip at Trigg Beach’s Blue Hole and found unresponsive. A local surfer rescued her companion while surf lifesavers and off-duty doctors performed CPR for 20 minutes before paramedics arrived. Authorities are urging beach safety ahead of Christmas with temperatures expected to reach 40 degrees, noting that 27 people drowned last year with over 990 rescues performed.
