Discussions continue over Monday’s verdict against media tycoon Jimmy Lai, who was found guilty of violating the National Security Law, with some international outlets questioning Hong Kong’s judicial system and press freedom. Gordon Lam, Hong Kong deputy to the 14th National People’s Congress and chairman of the Hong Kong Technology Association, welcomed the verdict, describing it as evidence of a well-functioning legal system.
