Onlookers gathered at the Golden Bauhinia Square for the New Year’s Day flag-raising ceremony in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
Hong Kong residents and visitors from the mainland present at the ceremony spoke of their national pride decades after the region’s return to China.
The cherished tradition offered a moment to reflect on the past and look forward to a future of prosperity for the nation and continued growth for Hong Kong.
