Is ‘Saturday Night Live’ star Bowen Yang leaving the show? Multiple outlets are reporting that the fan-favorite comedian may be exiting ‘SNL’ after eight seasons, with his reported final appearance set for the Dec. 20 episode, hosted by Yang’s ‘Wicked’ co-star Ariana Grande with musical guest Cher. E! News has reached out to representatives for both Yang and the long-running NBC sketch show and has not yet received comment. Yang, 35, first joined ‘SNL’ in 2018 as a writer before being promoted to featured player the following season. He later became a main cast member in season 47. Earlier this year, Yang reflected on his future with the show in an interview with People magazine, describing ‘SNL’ as a “growing, living thing” and acknowledging that making space for new voices may eventually mean stepping away. The rumored departure would mark the latest shakeup at Studio 8H. Ahead of the Season 51 premiere, cast members Ego Nwodim, Heidi Gardner, Devon Walker, Michael Longfellow and Emil Wakim announced they would not be returning.
