Though pregnant Catalina Mancera lost her MVP when her boyfriend, NFL star Marshawn Kneeland, died in an apparent suicide in early November, she emphasized how his legacy will live on through their baby. “I dreamed of you long before I ever knew you,” she wrote on Instagram Dec. 28. “I dreamed of building a family, of the life your dad and I talked about and imagined together. I’m so excited for you, but my heart still aches.” Since his death, the Dallas Cowboys defensive end’s team has affirmed his support to Catalina and their baby, with head coach Brian Schottenheimer saying in a November press conference, “We want to make sure she’s taken care of and the baby’s taken care of for the rest of their lives."
