A high-profile Zohran Mamdani appointee has resigned after social media posts were unearthed revealing a series of antisemitic comments.
The online posts included rants about “money-hungry Jews” and defunding NYPD “piggies.”
Catherine Almonte Da Costa’s short-lived appointment fell apart after the Anti-Defamation League demanded answers from Mamdani’s team about the past antisemitic posts.
Da Costa, who was tapped as NYC’s next director of appointments, had several stereotype-laden posts from 2011 and 2012.
