three of whom lost their lives in the struggle. As more details emerge, questions have also arisen about a possible resurgence of Islamic State in the Philippines. This is after authorities confirmed that the two suspects in the assault spent almost all of November in the Philippines. Asia Tonight spoke with Professor Greg Barton from Deakin University, for his take on the issue and the broader risks across the region.
