Israeli attacks leave at least 20 dead in Gaza

After departing from the International Space Station at 8:41 p.m. EST on Dec. 8 (0141 UTC Dec. 9), NASA astronaut Jonny Kim is returning to Earth aboard the Soyuz MS-27 spacecraft, accompanied by Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Alexey Zubritsky. The crew is scheduled to land at 12:04 a.m. EST (0504 UTC) on the steppes of Kazakhstan.
Kim has spent the past eight months on the orbiting station as part of Expedition 73, conducting research and activities to prepare humanity for future space missions while benefiting people back on Earth. This research has included studying bioprinted tissues in microgravity and developing robotic assistance for space exploration.
