New South Wales Premier Chris Minns is under fire for the presence of only two police officers at the scene of the Bondi Massacre.

Mr Minns has praised the responding officers for their actions, despite the overwhelming circumstances they faced during the incident.

An investigation is underway to provide more information on police response and ensure accountability.

“If we had our time again, we would of course do things differently,” Mr Minns said.

“Two police officers in critical condition in New South Wales hospitals were shot in the front. They were facing the gunman. They were not shot in the back while running away.”
