Israeli attacks leave at least 20 dead in Gaza

A 59-year-old firefighter from the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service has died while fighting a fire at Buladelah on the Mid-North Coast. The experienced firefighter and divisional commander suffered a cardiac arrest after being struck by a falling tree during overnight backburning operations. He had worked for National Parks since 1996 and was based at Lake Munmorah depot for the past 25 years.
