Opposition Leader Sussan Ley says China’s decision to impose new beef import tariffs “will not cut it” with Australian farmers.
“The prime minister should be getting on the phone to his Chinese counterparts,” Ms Ley said.
“It’s pathetic. What he needs to do is step right up.”
