Prime Minister Anthony Albanese seeks to work with “everyone” across Australia, including rural areas, so the gun reform laws are not “one size fits all”.
“There is a recognition that someone who is a farmer on a property might have very different needs from a bloke in Bonnyrigg who got access in the current laws to six high-powered rifles,” Mr Albanese said.
“We’re about stamping out inappropriate use.
“People who have legitimate use of guns need to be able to do so, particularly people in our farming communities.”
