Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have signed on to be producers for the upcoming Netflix adaptation of Jasmine Guillory’s 2018 best-seller ‘The Wedding Date’. The film will be written by ‘Girl’s Trip’ writer Tracy Oliver. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a statement in August regarding their continued partnership with Netflix, that said in part, “We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand. My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision." Meghan will reportedly play herself in the upcoming Lily Collins and Brie Larson movie ‘Close Personal Friends’, which follows partners who befriend a famous couple during a trip to Santa Barbara, California.
