Ryan Lochte clarified recent comments he made about estranged wife Kayla Reid Lochte, as well as his decision to sell three of his six Olympic gold medals. In a lengthy Instagram post December 18, the Olympian said in part, "I never swam for the gold medals. My passion has always been about being one of the best swimmers in the world.” Ryan also took the opportunity to respond to backlash he’s received since alluding to challenges in his relationship with Kayla—with whom he shares kids Caiden, 8, Liv, 6, and Georgia, 2—when he announced he’s writing a tell-all book earlier in December.
