The Sydney to Hobart yacht race has entered its second morning with Scallywag taking the lead from Master Comanche and Law Connect, with all three boats within several hundred metres of each other off Tasmania’s north coast. Crews are battling challenging conditions including slow speeds of 1-7 knots in shifting northerly winds, with two sailors suffering broken ribs and others experiencing seasickness. The leading boats are tracking towards an anticipated afternoon finish, though slow conditions may delay arrival times.
