Grade 10 and 11 students from Pontiac High School in Shawville, Que., braved freezing waters to learn life-saving ice rescue skills. CTV’s Dylan Dyson reports on the outdoor education program led by teacher Jordan Kent and Boreal River Rescue director Danny Peled. Students like Faith Hamilton practised self-rescue techniques and learned how to assess ice thickness for winter activities like snowmobiling and ice fishing.
