Grade 10 and 11 students from Pontiac High School in Shawville, Que., braved freezing waters to learn life-saving ice rescue skills. Students like Faith Hamilton practised self-rescue techniques and learned how to assess ice thickness for winter activities like snowmobiling and ice fishing.
