In 1942, in an act of shared humanity, a village in east China risked everything to shelter American pilots who took part in the Doolittle Raid – a series of air raids on select Japanese cities – from Japanese pursuers. Tung-Sheng Liu was one of the rescuers. His daughter Melinda Liu shares the story, reminding us how the light of humanity can transcend time and continue to guide us toward peace and solidarity.
