US President Donald Trump has stated that he is on the verge of filing a lawsuit against the BBC for allegedly editing his January 6 speech.
Trump claimed the BBC put “terrible” words in his mouth regarding his speech in 2021.
The edited speech was played in the broadcaster’s investigative documentary series ‘Panorama’ one week before the 2024 election.
The president said his “beautiful words about patriotism” were left out of the documentary.
Trump has threatened to sue the BBC for defamation for up to $5 billion.
