President Donald Trump claims the US has captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife after a large-scale military operation in Venezuela. Explosions rocked the capital Caracas on Saturday (Jan 3), with witnesses reporting loud blasts near the Defense Ministry headquarters. The Venezuelan Vice President has called for proof of life of Maduro, while the Defense Ministry announced extensive military deployment across the country.
The US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Maduro would be brought to the US to face criminal charges, including drug trafficking.
