Israeli attacks leave at least 20 dead in Gaza
By Rodrigo Santos Andrade
A 28-year-old man died and three others were hospitalized Tuesday after a pickup truck crashed into a light rail train in Midtown Phoenix.
Mario Dircio-Castrejon, the driver of the pickup, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash happened at the intersection of Central Avenue and Indian School Road.
Two passengers and the light rail operator were transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
The crash forced the closure of light rail service in the immediate area as investigators worked to clear the wreckage. Valley Metro officials have not yet announced when regular service will resume.
