The Magazine Luiza is the first Brazilian company to test the new WhatsApp feature that connects the e-commerce shopping catalog to the messaging application of Meta, a company founded by Mark Zuckerberg.
The feature was presented during the WhatsApp Business Summit event, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
“The goal is to make every moment of the journey even easier. So we are bringing to WhatsApp all the experience that already exists outside of WhatsApp”, explained Guilherme Horn, the company’s representative in Latin America.
The resource is in the testing phase, if implemented, it will be possible to search and add to the shopping cart, ask questions about all Magazine Luiza and Época Cosméticos products, from the Magazine Luiza group, directly on WhatsApp and the customer will be directed to the company’s official website retailers to checkout.
“This means that the consumer who contacts Magalu or Época Cosméticos on WhatsApp can start a conversation and navigate through all the products we have in our application from WhatsApp”, said Eduardo Galanternick, vice president of new business at Magazine Luiza.
