3 children burn to death in a fire in Piauí, Brazil and the cause of the fire is still unknown, and the case will be investigated.
On the afternoon of this Monday (22), a fire left 3 children dead in the Carolina settlement region, a rural area of the city of São José do Divino, in the North of Piauí, in Brazil.
The children, two sisters and a cousin, identified as Antonio Gael Silva de Araújo, aged 2 years and 6 months, Maria Nycolle da Silva Coelho, aged 2 years and 5 months, and Antonia Bianca da Silva Coelho, aged 1 year and 3 months old, they were inside the residence’s bedroom and under the care of their grandmother, identified as Terezinha Pereira da Silva, who had gone out to weed.
According to Major Alexandre, commander of the 3rd CIA of the 12th Military Police Battalion, around 12pm the police were called to respond to the incident in the locality. The Military Police isolated the area and called in criminal forensics. The Legal Medical Institute (IML) was in the area to remove the bodies of the victims. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and the case will be investigated.
