This Wednesday (17), Brazilian presenter and journalist Pedro Bial accused Meta, the company that manages Instagram, Threads, Facebook, WhatsApp and other applications, of being an accomplice to scammers.

Pedro Bial claims that his image with artificial intelligence resources, using the deep fake technique with his face, is being used without authorization and improperly in an advertisement published by Meta to sell products that promise customers to improve baldness.

The journalist contacted the product manufacturer and Meta seeking to stop the advertisement that is harming his fans, however, the campaign continues to be broadcast. Pedro Bial claims that Meta provides opportunities and profits from false advertisements and has filed a lawsuit in Brazilian court against Meta and others involved.
