Tetsuya Yamagami alleged killer of Shinzo Abe confessed to the crime in Japan

Japanese police said this Friday (8th) that the alleged killer of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, 41-year-old Tetsuya Yamagami, confessed to committing the crime.

The politician was shot during an open-air rally for the Senate elections, in the Nara region, in the south-central part of the country.

Tetsuya Yamagami even revealed to have used a homemade weapon.

The crime shocked Japan, as the country has a low level of violence and very tough laws against gun ownership.
