Israeli attacks leave at least 20 dead in Gaza
By Rodrigo Santos Andrade
We are following Santa’s journey around the world this Christmas Eve via NORAD Tracks Santa.
According to the NORAD Tracks Santa website, the event began in 1955. NORAD officials say the tradition began when a young child accidentally called an unlisted number that was used by NORAD’s predecessor, the Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD), at Colorado Springs.
The child, per officials, believed she was calling Santa Claus after seeing a promotion in a newspaper. The rest, as one can say, is history.
