FEMA denies disaster funding for Arizona counties | FOX 10 Phoenix

The Federal Government has denied a request for $30 million in federal help for two Arizona counties that were ravaged by flooding in September.
Arizona’s letter to FEMA states that preliminary estimates put losses from floods in Gila and Mohave Counties at just over $33 million. Officials with FEMA wrote that "Based on our review of all of the information available, it has been determined that the damage from this event was not of such severity and magnitude as to be beyond the capabilities of the state and affected local governments."
