224 North Korean defectors resettled in the South in 2025: Seoul’s Unification Ministry

Two hundred and twenty-four North Korean defectors resettled in the South last year, a dip from the year before and sharply down from years earlier, according to Seoul’s Unification Ministry. Human rights groups say it is increasingly difficult to get direct insight from inside the North Korean regime. CNA’s Senior Correspondent Lim Yun Suk has more.
