More than 60 dogs were taken away by law enforcement and animal control officers after a court order forced authorities inside a West Valley home Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
Peoria police confirmed three dogs were found dead at the home on Morningside Drive, near 89th Avenue and Union Hills Drive, where Peoria animal control officers, alongside city code enforcement officers, responded to a court order.
Photos shared by police from inside the home revealed dirty conditions with broken blinds and what appeared to be torn-up carpet and flooring. Clothing and bedding material were also seen scattered on the floor.
