Albanese announces Greg Moriarty as new US Ambassador

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has appointed Secretary of the Department of Defence Greg Moriarty as US Ambassador.
Mr Moriarty will take over the role from former prime minister Kevin Rudd.
The decision follows the announcement that Mr Rudd would finish his tenure early.
