Protesters in Minneapolis are calling for a nationwide shutdown braving single-digit temperatures to make their voices heard over ICE raids in the city.

As the investigation into the shooting deaths of two US citizens in Minneapolis continues, anti-ICE sentiment is rising across the United States.

While largely peaceful, two demonstrators were arrested for attempting to block agents from entering a federal building.

The protesters aim to spread their movement nationwide, calling for defunding ICE.

The Justice Department has opened a civil rights investigation into the shooting death of protester Alex Pretti.

Additionally, former news anchor Don Lemon and others were arrested during a protest at a Minneapolis church, prompting condemnation from Democrats.

The Justice Department is also investigating potential outside funding for the protests.
